Oh, new track - a little Berlin-school inspired

Hello! How is everybody? I return once more, and this time in possibility for being able to have more than the odd day online here and there. It's been a while since I've had a stable, regular internet connection. I've been listening to a few things posted on the forum and am really pleased that, although it's quieter now than it used to be, the standard of music is still excellent! I finished my new album recently. It's very, very different from my other material (for those here who remember it), inspired by Max Richter and a lot of stuff on the Type label, as well as Edgard Varese, John Cage and other composers. There are also a couple of minimal techno bits I've worked on and some other stuff. It's a mixed bag anyway. Release details are all hush hush at the moment but I think something exciting may happen.
Anyway, I have a new track which is a little Berlin school in influence in some ways with its synth arpeggios. It's very different to a lot of my old stuff but I think is the most successful attempt at me doing an 'epic' track and I'm incredibly happy with it.
Here is a stream from Artistserver Here is a download link from Artistserver ...and here is my MySpace where you can find the track for stream also.
Any comments are welcome! Hope everyone around these parts is well!

The arpeggios sound great. The distorted train sounding synth fluxuating is intense. It pops out above your other sounds a lot, but meshes quite well regarding that. This does sound different of your music, but the arpeggios sound a bit like you; but I wouldn't have guessed it was you if I hadn't known.

Hehe, thanks for listening chaps. Yes, it's certainly different and not entirely like Second Thought, bit of an experiment, but one I'm happier with. I haven't done too much of the sampley ambient breaks, or whatever you'd call my older stuff, in quite a while now. I'm actually heading more towards a classical/avant garde inspired direction on the whole, but that's a story for another day!

Thanks John! When I get some cash together I'm going to be doing a bit more work with synths so there'll probably be some more of this type in the future... I'm trying to take Second Thought in a million different directions though so who knows what'll come first.

Nice track, lovely sound quality and mix...it nearly blew my head off as it peaked, got really loud after a subtle start German inspired, I should say so A bit of Tangerine Dream influence, or indeed as mentioned Klaus Schulze, did you use a Moog type soft synth for that? Its floating my boat

I used impOSCar for the arpeggio, which is a lovely little synth based on a piece of hardware which is used in a number of my favourite songs. What's particularly odd, I suppose, is that I'm not really into that German sound very much - this was much more a case of me finding a sound which reminded me of it by accident and deciding to do my own approximation. Glad you're digging, anyway.
