This review pertains to induviduals who are not annoyed by flippant remarks of The Davinci Code. Yet feel free to add to it if there's something I missed:
Laaamo....Llllaaaaammmoooo.... Daylight's a' comin' dey wanna go home.
Davinci code- I like Tom Hanks, a whole lot- but this movie was a serious drag for me. The whole movie runs off of clues and mystery that pertain to the smallest detail; like the letter O off of a jar of olives and then stating that the history of the letter "O" leads to the next treasure hunt of this rediculous waste of time. (I know I think I'm really funny) The end of the movie shows a scene with Tom Hanks looking down into the glass pyramid with a look of satisfaction- like he figured it out and no one else will know this stupid secret.
Well, if you're into suspense that doesn't go anywhere- here ya go. Kind of like that other movie "signs" where it left you hanging in the end- They could have hit more than one alien with a bat if you ask me.
I think it should be a hollywood law to make movies that have satisfying endings! Lately producers have entered this trend of 'not' making conclusions in their movies to give the watcher a sense of awe I suppose. It's annoying!

Read the book... which was pretty good.
Will I see the movie?
Prob'ly... but I'm not in any hurry.

I read the book and LOVED it! However, once I heard about the movie...the stars...the director...the angle they were taking, I had no desire to see it at all. I'd rather savor my memory of the book.
However, thank you for confirming my sad predictions. They had a chance to make a wonderful piece of cinematography but instead we ended up with 'The DaHollywood Code'. Have you heard about the contests?!
Oh yeah...and 'Signs' pissed me off, too.

I'll make sure I find the book, because to be honest- I was being a little over-criticizing. I just really hate it when an ending doesn't satisfy me after watching a long drawn out plot. It really is a cool story, just could have been much better movie wise I agree.
And what about contests?

Since the book dealt with 'mysteries' and 'codes' they decided to add a little fun to the movie, too. Apparently there were 'clues' embedded in the film, and if you figure it out, you can win some prize. Sorry I don't have more information to give you...like I said...I didn't really pay much attention to the movie hype. I bet I'll read the book again in a few years, I liked it that much.
