Today's the day folks. All eyes are on you. The entire world is watching. It's like the Stanley Cup final is on up here. This day is totally dominating the airwaves. I'm recording it all. The samples I've caught so far are unbelievable. Incredible how much this election has held our undivided, and in some cases obsessive, attention. And the inauguration today is like event of the century. Much debate, and admiration, has been heaped on Obama's odds of success. I wish him well. He's got a very rough and rocky road ahead of him.
In any regard, I really want to say I wish all the best to all my friends south of the border. May peace, happiness and love always be with you. Is there a better time than this to say; "live long and prosper." I think not...!!

Now... let's see how the first hundred days go...

Opps.... Sorry America. I had no idea. The slight of hand and mis-direction was that good. I Guess it's true what Pete Townsend wrote 38 years ago. "Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss".

Ron Paul's brother makes an appearance in that Obama Deception doc. He makes some damn good sense too.

So... I suppose General Motors can now be referred to as Government Motors..??
I feel so secure knowing that both us Canadian and US taxpayors have a lovely 72% stake (12% Canadian 60% USA) in a failing company. The PM of Canookie land and Premier of Ontario were less than optimistic about getting any return at all on the gift (aka theft aka Canadian portion) of $10,000,000,000 to the automaker. But hell.. we gotta support 'em. Afterall... pretty much every factory in South-western Ontario supplies parts to 'em. And if GM goes toes up a huge percentage of the population of Ontario would be out of a job. Nobody wants their crap cars, but they're gonna force us to pay for 'em (and their bloated pension plans) anyway....
Our dependancy on the automotive sector is absolute....

I just keep wondering if it's all a scam to keep the Volt from reaching the market. I'm not saying it is... it just makes me wonder.

Well not sure about the scam part, but I can assure you the American bailouts and the furture tax increases it will create is having, or will have, the net effect of turning Canada into a tax haven for American busineses. It hasn't created a mass exodus or anything of that nature... yet... but a few companies have already moved, or are in the process of moving, their head offices north of the border in order to take advantage of the lower interest rates and tax cuts not available to them in the US of A.
