Hello.
Can anyone tell me how to get those spacial effects. It's a bit hard to explain what I mean but there is an example at the start of 'Between the lines' by Rpb. I know that Vangelis and Tomita used to use it a lot. How is it done? Just increasing the reverb doesn't do it very much. Would I need a special soundcard, program et al?

what are you using for Reverb?
I'm not sure of the exact effect/sound you are looking for, but it sounds like a 'deep rich, and almost endless' reverb. If that's the case - most reverbs come with a preset called "Cathedral" - start with this, then tweak it to fit your needs.
If you are running other effects in the chain, you may need to move the Reverb down or up, depending on what else is in your chain.
If you don't have a good reverb VST/plugin - look into some of the Freeware/Shareware options. I just googled 'free reverb vst' and found this one - which is free and works with Impulse-responses  http://www.knufinke.de/sir/sir1.html

That is the sort of effect I am after by the sound of it (no pun intended). I will try out your suggestion tomorrow as I have got back rather late. Thanks for your reply.
