Hey Guys, i remixed another tune for my friend's band The June Umbrella. It's kinda different, being that it's more breakbeat oriented (kinda i guess). I keep feeling like its missing something, so I'm starting to go over stuff to add to it, so if anyone has suggestions, they would be welcome. He doesn't have a final mix of the original, so its kinda cool to be advertising a remix before the real track is released. His music could be found here though -> www.myspace.com/thejuneumbrella

i want to buy a doubleplusgood album on SubPop in 2007
didn't you graduate? yes you did huh? ok now it's time for the big plan. the world tour. well at least the indie college american tour. or do you have something better to do? woah another Death Cab-influenced singer. intro is good.. now waiting for the bass too kick in. ah there it is.. maybe you could cut up the to beeeee part. you know to beee-e-e-e-e-e-e-e. bass is a little more electro-dancey then i expected. but i am getting used to it. now it needs a snare i guess. oh, it's a break.. simple treasures.. the vocal melody is kind of boring (obviously not your fault) haha this has a 2unlimited nineties dance-hit vibe. which is awesome. (2.06) still waiting for the snare though. maybe some pads, too lush things a bit. lush is no verb, eh. make things more lush.
pretty good..
now back to your own work, compiling a demo tape, sending it around, getting signed, planning a tour (first east coast.. then west coast.. then london, then European mainland)

sounding good man. it's like the Pet Shop Boys for '07.
there's a whole lot of retro going around these days, isn't there?
evocative as always, Erik.
my only complaint is that raver synth at 2 minutes. from an objective standpoint, I think it's out of place. from a subjective standpoint, I've never heard that sound in place anywhere, haha.

Hmmm...not my cup of tea, but nevertheless a nice song. To me it didn't really sound so retro...
