This guy is pretty well respected in the DIY community.

'pparently, it's this math-music guy (after my own heart) who's made this keyboard midi manipulator. And by "keyboard" I mean "keyboard you type with". So, you press the letter F and the note goes up a half step. You press D and it goes down. Totally new way to get into playing music. It's even got presets so that you can stick within the confines of the major / pentatonic / etc scales. AND he's even made up a few new scales, ones that have 20 and 40 notes per octave.

Pretty neat.
