Hi all, as I mentioned earlier in the forums, at least I think I did, I have hours and hours of music created in the last 25 years or so.....
But what to do with it?
Not every track is good enough to be released, but some are...
So currently I'm digging through this pile of DVD's, CD's and even cassettes and try to figure out what's good enough to be released and what's not.....
Some material I like will be compiled into a few EP-releases to be released on LastFM & ArtistServer, as free streams/downloads....so....stay tuned!

lol cassettes are a little frustrating no? i have a drawer full of those containing .0001% material worth salvaging. too bad i don't have a tape deck anymore.

Yep, they sometimes are....
I still have a 4-track cass. deck, but not an ordinary one and unfortunately my oldest music was mastered (can you believe that????) on 2-track cassette...so yes, to be able to play them, I'll have to buy a deck....the original recordings are probably still on the 4-track-cassettes, but I had to master them in realtime (volume, sends, panning, etc.) to 2-track....
So yes, for the originals I need the 2 track-mastertapes.
After that period I bought a DAT-recorder, and I still have it, so this won't be a problem.
Stay tuned....am working on the cover (sort of) which I'll embed in the mp3's...

when i first started doing this stuff, i had 2 of the original macs connected to a dj mixer. i had some super lame sampler that would allow me to get sounds onto the macs from turntables. i'd manually trigger loops on each machine and record it all in realtime to cassette. high-tech! lol
i'm totally itching to dig through that stuff now, but i should probably avoid it.

No, you should really listen it to it sometimes again....although it might be crap, it's very interesting to listen to your musical history and there might be some interesting beats, sounds or whatever you could use in new tracks....yes, sample yourself!
