Long time no hear, hehe....
Just dropped by to say i like your redesign and new layout of the artistserver index page, great with the random featured artist thing goin´on. 
How are your 2008 plans for the site? Any major changes ahead, oh of course, too busy with the unreal tournament thing  and of course you have the presidential election in California, i.e. SUPER TUESDAY!!

Yes - i've been musically dry. I've been playing guitar, just not recording anything.

Thank you. I hope this gives more exposure to those who are supporting the site. I'll need to add a message below which states that you need to upgrade your account to be featured.

Probably the most major change from the user's experience, will be the new layouts for artist/member sites.
Below lists what I should be able to finish on my ToDo list this year.
Site Upgrades Planned For 2008
- new friend/contact system - 75% done
- new site designer - 98% done
- new artist/member page layouts - 5% done
- FreeMusicLicensing.com - 90% done
- Finally finish the mobile site - 50% done
- Redevelop/Change the mp3 streaming/download system - 20% done
- 2-3 new site skins - 0% done
- photo slide show option/tool - 10% done
- rss feeds for photos - 0% done
- notify tool - to manage email notifications from the site - 0% done
- improve the Newsletter tool - 0% done
- improve the store tool - 0% done
Upgrades I'm Considering:
- new 'timeline' feature - view objects and events from the site on an interactive timeline tool
- integrate YouTube videos using their API
- a new tag system for artists and songs, called 'artist tags' where you associate them with known artists/bands to help people find new music based on music they already enjoy. 15% done
- groups - allows you to create a group by name, which creates a group site/page and allows you to manage group members. Group sites aggregate the content of their members. 45% done
- OpenSocial integration - http://code.google.com/apis/opensocial/
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for site featues or tools, let me know

Could I suggest a video panel for the artists music page? Just a space for linking to youtube or similair (saves on the hosting!) This could be for premium members only and might encourage some extra subs on its own.
Doh I just spotted a "youtube" feature in your second list 
Keep up the good work (me shuffles off in embarrasment)

I've been busy with client work lately, as my main client just lost 2 employees. But I hope to get back up to speend in a few weeks.
I looked at some open source code for the YouTube API, and it looks like adding support for it could very well happen in a few days worth of coding - so I may just bump it ahead of the other tasks. We almost had our own full Video service... but the provider, Video Egg, changed their policy/game plan and aren't offering the service any longer.
Thank you for taking some time to give feedback and letting me know where your interests are with the site features.
