I had a good time - I feel that the site evolved well in 2006 - and overall, I feel we did well considering the resources.
I think 2007 could be a the year we finally get out of the negative and finally see some revenue. The loss in 2006 wasn't big - it comes to about $10/day, and overall costs average out at $18.42/day, so we only covered 45% of the costs.
Based on the number of unique visitors, if every unique visitor to the site paid $0.03, all expenses would have been covered.
My goals for 2007:
* to get up to 750,000 unique visitors, possibly 1million
* an increase of new account upgrades (2-3 times the 2006 numbers)
* extend the photo sharing tools/options
* add video support
* update the song upload process
* improved artist/member URLs - no more url changing after the browser loads
* completion of the mobile version of the site
* externalize the skins - so people can list complete site skins and select from them to apply to their own site on AS
* offer widgets for mp3s, photos and ringtones
* add a calendar/event system
and more

I'm VERY excited about this year, we've been around for more than 5 years now, and six is my favorite and lucky number
Spread the word - bring some artists over to the site - invite non artists to check it out.

sounds good. yeah 5 years around.. i think STAYING on the scene (or net) will pay off one day. just a steady growth, no hype, might be better in the end.
