Before I get to the details about the new tune, I just want to once again thank A Bit Crusher for the eLucy remix, it opened my eyes to new possiblities
So, I extracted one of ABC's "creaking door" grooves from the above mentioned remix and used as the starting point for a new song.
It features lots of electric 12 string playing and Metasynth mutated 12 string samples.
I don't know about the "needing vocals" thing ('cause vocals are definitely not my area) but the tune itself is really nice and sounds great as it is. At least to me anyways....

the intro is very POP. first couple of tones.. like a mtv love song. but.. now it's different ah trademark mantisland island sounds ah this 1.34 break is awesome. just before that i thought the guitar could be louder. but now it does get a little louder. cool tune.. maybe it's too short. like it could be strecthed out as a postrock-ish.. anyway
