I completely understand. Each time I go I pick out "My Three" and dream about the future, when Gideon and I own acres of land and open a ranch to care for unwanted pups. In our dreams it's always a multi-purpuse arangement, with bio-friendly yurts on the property and a recording studio...sort of an artist retreat. Can't you just see it?! Pups and musicians everywhere! And me feeding them all!
Bliss....

I have good news!!!!
I just got back from the animal shelter and my little buddy was adopted!
It was a very good moment. All of us stood around, talked about that day and what happened and rejoiced in the fact that "Rambo" the feisty chihuahua has a new home...and I'm sure it will be better than the last one he had.
Thanks for listening and thanks for your support. I'm glad this story had a happy ending.

You're welcome, and thanks again for even caring.
It was actually kinda wierd down there today. I spent at least ten minutes trying to find someone who knew what dog I was talking about. I was beginning to think they had put him down and just didn't want to tell me. Finally they paged a caretaker to come in and talk to me. She instantly recognized me and the dog I was referring to.
Once she gave me the good news we all got to stand around and trade stories for awhile, and that was nice. I really am going to try and donate some of my time down there, now that I know how much they need the help and that I can probably handle it emotionally. It would be nice to think that this accident, this story, these little dogs might have led me to doing something I should have been doing for awhile now.
We'll see.

If you're strong enough for that kind of emotional roller coaster ride then please, do it.
I salute you

Yes!!.... a happy ending. It's good to hear the lil' guy has found a home. Let's hope he lives long and prospers!!
