So a friend of mine is a solo artist named Castles www.myspace.com/castlesofmusic . He asked me to produce a track for him and this is it, it turned out pretty well, it's called interstate infinity. It was fun actually doing something where I didn't sing, but it wasn't a remix, just the production end of it. Kinda cool. He sounds a lot like Ben Gibbard, so the Postal Service comparisons are inevitable, but i still dig the track.

seems like i'm always complaining about the vocals, when you're not singing.. i thought that this guy's voice was ok, but somehow hit the wrong notes at the end of some of the melody lines.. anyway.. i like the production too, i kept thinking maybe there will be big Fennesz distortions comin' in.
not bad, the cut-up guitar is very cool. (if it is one)

Indeed it is a cut up guitar, i like that line a lot. Yup, his vox as well are an issue, he has a little bit of a problem keeping pitch. His own style is very Animal Collective, which allows for some off pitch vocals, but this is a little sleeker than his lofi stuff, so when he was off pitch it was very noticeable. One of these days I'll invest in pitch correction lol. Actually I think this would benefit from some overdubs, but thanks for listening Ludo, glad you kinda dug it
