How is your holiday season coming along?

Any plans? Any disasters? Any sanity left??? 
I've been so busy trying to finish all of the gifts I'm making that I feel as if I've gone crazy. Today I was just crying for no reason. I still have no menu picked out for Christmas Eve and I think I may have missed the deadline for ordering my photo-books. 
Other than that, it's been a wonderful holiday season thus far. The house has never looked lovelier, our tree is gorgeous and fills me with peace, the whole place smells great and so far the dogs have not eaten a single ornament. You can't beat that!
So I found myself wondering today how everyone else out there is doing. Making any gifts? Traveling to see family? Or are you too busy digging yourself out of snow to even care? How are you handling this time of year?

hehe. Well, I've been doing "online shopping" for all my cousins over in Wyoming and Oregon- gonna send the grandmas (plural) a card- the parents some indian candles and a CD... My brothers... um... Well I got enough time to think of somethin good. We throw gag gifts back & forth.
I think all of us guys on the forum need to throw down our addresses- I think it'd be fun to send... something to one another. Like something easy and simple... Like sunflower seeds.

Were enjoying the season so far.
Florida is really hot most of the year until winter, so that's the big upside right there.
Can't say I like the run around of trying to make everyone happy during Christmas though.

I actually gave up on the shot idea and had some champagne. That put me in a much more festive mood. 
Yes, none of my gifts will arrive on time, but I am now resigned to that fact and am moving on...to chocolate, because I have shit-loads of that stuff sitting around the house.

Yea! Your card arrived today and I have it up on the wall, proudly displayed!
The cards I ordered from Zazzle showed up today, but still no books from Lulu. I'm really anxious to see the quality of the hardback photo-books. If I like them I could see myself spending a lot more time (and money) at that site.
So....who's working on Christmas Eve??? I am!

Last year I gave up on Christmas / Hannukah / Kwanzaa / New Year's / Solstice / Festivus, and consolidated everything into Holiday Day on 12/21. I figure that's a pretty good day to do it, since it's got clear & tangible significance. And, since the holiday season is supposed to be about sharing good will with each other during the darkest & coldest time of the year, this time is a great way to do so with each other in a way that isn't culture-specific. (Though it is hemisphere-specific. )
So Happy Holiday Day to all! Mine was pretty good this year. My life partner gave me a nice new watch and "The Art of War", which is one of those classics I never got around to reading or buying. (Cool!)

Well, I'm not giving my street address over the internet. lol It's too bad I didn't get my post office box before the holidays, because I was planning to get one as soon as I put out my new album--so that people can buy it over the net without knowing where I live.
But, I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year--this site and the awesome people on it have been very kind to me all these years and I'm grateful.

Well, my Christmas has gone very well... I gave my mother a copy of Billy Idol's Greatest Hits and I'm writing from my new MacBook that my father got me. I'm stuffed full of good food and am languid in a comfortable recliner. Life is good.
