Good Morning, everyone..!!
Created on: 10/06/08 05:13 AM Replies: 19

Another glorious day presents itself.

Days are getting shorter. Temperatures are getting cooler. The sunrise is slowly disappearing from view. Hard to believe that just five months ago that same shot would have the sun to the far left of the photo. Soon (less than a month) it will not be visable from my front door anymore as the earth's tilt makes the sunrise move further to the south to hide behind the houses to the east of us. Then it will be six months 'til the sun fills our home with its light and warmth.

Sad

Spent the weekend getting the house ready for winter. Got my roof fixed (finally). Had to tear part of the siding off (in order to fix the problem where the front and back halves of the house are seperating) replace some shingles, patch the holes the squirrels made (fucking squirrels). Next week Leanne and I are off for some R&R which will be used to continue our annual winterization process. Get the winter tires out of storage and ready them for puttin' on the car, bring out the snow shovels, get the snow toys ready, locate all the mits and boots and hats and coats, put the summer clothes away and get ready for winter fun, fun, fun....

Very Happy

nice photo!

I've always though the sunrise was superior to the sunset, that feeling at dawn is so refreshing.

btw - i have a new song coming out soon - called Arrival, it's more of a soundtrack piece, capturing the transition from dawn to sunrise. This photo would go well with the song.

Cool, right on.

I'm looking forward to winter - but our winter isn't much of a winter Laughing

Very lovely picture! Cool, right on.

We enjoy noticing and commenting on the sun's movements (and how they affect us in the house) all year, too. Because of my early schedule I am privy to many a sunrise as I drive to work, and I never get tired of it! Very Happy

I'd love to see a picture of that. Oh, wait... nevermind...

Ummm... what?

Leanne and I are off work next week (we always take the week of Thanksgiving off) and the weather is supposed to be nice (low teen's and sunny) and we always go for walks out in da countryside (whilst da boyz are at school). I'll see if I can get some shots of the fall colours for y'all to check out.

Cool, right on.

Hmmm... R U O K ? Do I accept your unspoken challenge, or do I simply call you a 'turd' for provoking a pregnant (if uninspired, at the moment) women? Wink

Enjoy your week off, and yes, torture me with all of your lovely photos when you get back. We will be having a birthday party for Gideon on Saturday, and I plan on taking some photos...I haven't in almost three months! And we'll see, if by some miracle, I can actually post some. Will I get a gold star if I do????

Thanks subs...

New photo set added.

Went for a Thanksgiving Day walk in T.J. Dolan Natural Area (located right in the heart of Stratford). It's one of our fav spots to walk and enjoy the peace and beauty that Mother Nature has to offer. The weather was perfect for a fall day. The colours are spectacular this time of year.

From the board at the main entrance:

The photoset can be found here:

Hope you enjoy the shots as much as I did taking them.

Peace...

took a few minutes - but I figured out why this is the case... the slideshow tool uses the 'large' image size for the slideshow, and is expecting the photos in the slideshow have a large size. This slideshow has several images that were smaller than the 'large,' so a large version was not generated. The code isn't checking that they exist before attempting to serve them.

I'll open these files up later today and fix the bug. Thank you for finding the bug Smile Cool, right on.

Sorry to hear the slide-show thingy didn't work for ya. I only checked to see if the pix were selectable/viewable on an individual basis (which they are). Rest assured they are worthy of a click. The colours are fantastic.

Smile

Hopefully Gideon will resolve this issue and you can see da show without having to click through.

the slide show now displays the medium size if there is no large - works now and looks great Smile
