Unbelievable, had to check on this guy´s name through google and it confirmed his latest marathon record to swim the Amazon with the help of other boats throwing blood in the river around him so as to attract the Pirahanas so he could swim in peace?

Amazing what man can do when he put´s his mind to it, apparently he swam more than the length of the Atlantic in around 60 days?

Then comes the question: why? That's really cool and all... I admire that a lot... but blood and glory taken a little too seriously on this one. This reminds me of the old Edgar Allen Poe stories when he swam 6 miles up a river in his youth.
The amazon is also the most biologically diverse rivers in the world; the guy's probably crawling with parasites by now...

eeewww.... Well, it's still amazing nonetheless. (just not too thought out) lol
Marathoners are crazy hands down.

Behind the glory is something that resembles nobility... though it usually goes unrecognized. Especially during his own era. A lot of artists live lives like this.

I hear that. I'm actually about to run a marathon myself up in Sacramento in December...
Swimming thing's gonna have to wait though.
