Updates to the Site's Homepage

After you signin at ArtistServer, you may have noticed that the homepage changes and becomes customized to your account (click on site logo in the menu to view the homepage).
Some of these changes have been online for weeks now, but a few others 'just' went live. I'll explain what each customizable section is, and how you can take advantage of them.
1. Your Favorites Menu - on the left side of the page is your favorites menu. If you do not see anything there, it means you have not added anything to your favorites!
You can add the following items to your favorites: songs, playlists, artists, members, and genres.
To add an item - locate and click on the 'add to favorites' icon - which looks like this: 
The action happens in the background - just wait a few seconds and you'll see the icon change.
2.Friends Online - This will display any friends you have, who have signed into the site within the last 24hrs, and has shared their chat information (ICQ, AIM, or SKYPE). To add someone to your friend's list, just vist their page, and click on the 'add friend' icon, which looks like this:  . You'll see a short form display at the top of the page - just fill it out, and the person will be added to your friends (if they have auto-add turned on, if not, the person will have to approve the request).
3. Upload Buttons - in order to make it easier for you to post/upload content to the site, you now have big buttons for: posting to your blog, uploading files/graphics, uploading photos, and uploading songs.
4. My Account Links - below the upload buttons, you'll see a few links for the My Account area. You can find each of these in the main account menu (top of site, gray, displays after signin). I've added them here to help new users find their way around to the more important tools/options.
5. New Songs by Your Favorite Artists - if you've added any artists to your favorites list while signed in, the site will list the top 5 most recent songs by them on the homepage. If you don't have any artists in your favorites list, visit an artist's page, click on their 'add to favorites' icon, then visit the site's homepage (click on site logo in the menu).
