We're a winter wonderland here as well.

Too bad. Snow's been around for a couple weeks now. It is warmer than it was a week ago (about 2 degrees right now) so a lot of the snow has melted, but this is what it looked like earlier today (noon hour).

And it's only six more months 'til it's like that here again...

It's true, no snow, but the first winter rain finally came last night. Big storm! We loved it!!! I hear they may have snow for Thanksgiving in the San Diego mountains.
I lived in the snow for two years, and I loved it and miss it...but I don't miss driving in it. If I could find a way to work from home and not have to leave the house at all while there is snow on the ground then I would move back to a higher elevation in a heartbeat! As it is, I am now so spoiled that I complain when the temp drops to 60 and I have to grab a long sleeved shirt.
Enjoy the snow you guys!!!

is that the windmill in the distance there? and a brewery just past that?
We went there with Fingertwister when he visited CA so many years ago.
nice place - have you ever been there Kylo? Do you live near where the photo is taken?

Yeah, I live within 3/4ths of a mile of it. Walked for 10 minutes to get to that picture spot. It's at a nice park called Sutro Heights- and that is the one and only old dutch windmill in town I know of. I walked down to Safeway this morning to get some thanksgiving stuff and I took this photo on the walk.
Speaking of which; the brewery... I haven't hung out there yet, but I've been to the restaurant several times.

We bitch and moan about the snow up here, but seeing how we have to deal with it for half the year I think we're jusitfied.

It is beautiful to look at though, from the comfort and warmth of my home that is....

I just wish I could have the same enthusiasm about it as Liam. In the morning, he can't finish his breakfast fast enough. Gotta get into his snow-suit so he can go outside and play in the snow before going to school.

I can relate. I am NOT a cold weather type. It's a bit of a battle in this household over the thermastat. Leanne keeps the temp around the 15C mark (about 60F) to, you know, conserve energy and I promptly turn it up to 20C (when she's at work of course) and I still have wool socks on, track pants, t-shirt and hoodie.

I hope it snows in Portland, it rarely does. Even 1/2 an inch and our school gets closed, hah!

It's quite alright my man, you happen to be past the bitch & moan zone on the global map. So you've got those rights...
