As a new mom, I don't always get much sleep. But the other night I managed to get to bed early and catch some much needed Zzzzzzz's. Woke up after having a really odd dream about a young punk band and just wanted to share the laughs.
This is what I remember: The band is all boys, about 12 - 13 years old. They live in Europe and have formed a punk band but need a name. In the dream they volley around a few choices and then agree on 'Pool of Drool'. Their music is percussion driven and they tend to harmonize the vocals (yes, harmonized punk screams, yells and grunts) which was cute. Two songs were completely played out in my dream, the angry "Give us your cash" and the more pleasant and winsome "I'm free".
Did a search on the name when I woke up and came up with nothing. I will laugh myself silly if years from now some UK punk band makes it big by the name of "Pool of Drool".
So, I guess this is what happens after six months of sleep deprivation.
Anyone else have any interesting dreams lately???

About three months ago I e:mailed our friend Johnny P. about a dream I had. It went like this:
Quote:I was at your place for a BIG party and in your house you had this huge DIY synthesiser consisting of multiple sections of bookcase demensions interlinked via under floor cabling connections. Many of the sections had hand carved wooden components with internal synth parts installed and it was all hooked up to this old jet liner console for mixing. There were like fifty people at this party and each guest was assigned a section of the synth to operate and at specific intervals each individual section was turned on from the main console and the party guest was then incouraged to "experiment" with the synth. The output was recorded and mixed with sound from the other guests experimentations and this continued until all sections had been passed. There were even sections of the system that were built as samplers that had preloaded samples of token wonder sounds. Clark Gable, Henry Fonda, Clint Eastwood, Robert Duvall & Anna Nicole Smith were there too and they each held an old fashion style broadcast mic and read from a script while viewing old film stock of JohnWayne on a huge screen to add vocalisations to the improvised recording. Then it started to snow and we had to stop and go tobogganing to get more beer....

Was she talking 'baby talk'? I at least hope it was Anna at her prime. I'm still laughing just trying to imagine that scene. Good job!

I wish there was an entertainment site, where you could send them your dreams, and they would pick one each month to act it out and film it.

That's what I was going to ask Stereofect! What in the world do you need to eat before experiencing a dream like that?!
Last night Gideon made us bean burritos. That dinner led to me dreaming that I was running through a golf course at night dressed in only a towel. Dr. Phil was there, saw me, and asked me out on a date. Since I can't stand Dr. Phil, he was denied! Take that, Dr. Phil!!!!

Well... Leanne says no more jalapeño Doritos before bedtime for me....

btw... ANS was circa 1993. And she looked pretty damn good in that pink snow-suit she wore whilst we went toboggening to get more beer...

Speaking of...

I think you should definitely make this dream band and reap as many cash rewards as possible from it.
Drug use for children has for many an education and with obvious alarm to both parents on the increase almost yearly.

I think I should at least start a comic called 'Pool of Drool' about a young punk band...that would be fun!
What I really enjoyed about the dream was how complete and intense it was...to actually hear two of the songs all the way through, to wake up remembering some of the lyrics...that was a trip!
