I'm having computer trouble - my music machine keeps having the mouse cursor freeze randomly. At first I thought it was a virus but now it appears to be something else. It's making writing music more annoying but I've been feeling creative recently.
Here's my latest project in sketch form.
I adore seconds (the interval) so there are lots of them. Also, I used my own tuning for the flatted third and seventh (god bless FM7 and any other synths that let you shape the tonality of your instruments)!
Obviously the B section isn't anywhere near finished but the basic idea is there.
Just wanted to get something out there even if it wasn't finished or whatev

I like that ride that you throw in near the end of most your measures.
deh duh deh... And then you variate on those three ride notes a lot which is uber cool too.

Yes that spot you stop on is quite the transition bump huh? Sometimes when I get to an area like that I go back a few measures and create an early effect of change to kind of push me along.
Kind of like a new sound that's coming out of an evelope (which I still can't figure out how to automate except for master volume control)
But that's one of the general inspirational tools I use for myself.
I bet you could throw a new bass line sound down right there at where you stop and continue on that same melody as a sort of creshendo feel; because this tune reminds me of In The World and its way of climaxing.
Oh... you know what, I just saw your computer's dead. hmm... caught it before the post too. ah crap.
um... 
Circuit City usually has good prices for Emachine desktop computers... I hope they're in the UK though...

Well, here's what I did after this point - I went up a key (with a leading dominant chord inserted to help the shift) and added some quiet C64 style pads to the existing strings. That seemed to carry it on nicely but now I have the task of what to do next 
Incidentally it seems a friend has fixed my computer, god knows how he's done it because it was Fucked Up but he says everything is back to normal and I'll be picking it up tomorrow 
You have no idea how relieved I am 
So maybe tomorrow I'll get to resume work.
