Strange statistics is due China attacks?

So I logged in to my Artist Server account after long time and decided to check my stats (for first time), and what I saw was very very strange. I don't know if it is due to China attacks (I think it is), but during 2010 year period my songs were downloaded about 3000 times. Which is impossible, because I am not that famous
Also I noticed that my stats dropped significantly in July (from ~600 downloads per month to mere 17), and normalized in August (only 3 downloads).
I saw this thread, so I assume it's stopped now and the reason to strange statistics was these attacks, yes?
I guess China was attacking at least since 2009 November, because since then my download stats were rising and rising.

Hi Stellardrone,
The peak in music traffic was caused by:
* attacks from China
* an Android mobile app for mp3s - which appeared to have been written so that it pulled down the header info for many files at once - which generated more traffic than we could handle and false stats data. We track that a song plays, we don't have the means to track when it completes (well you can from a Flash player, but this can easily be manipulated). So this mobile app was generating a significant amount of hits on the site, but not really serving all those files to people.
* mp3 search engine sites - there are more of these sites each year - they send spiders out to crawl the Web and index all mp3s it can find, the problem here, is that once they find your site, they ignore the access rules set up for spiders, and hit us w/ a lot of hits all at once. With over 9,000 songs on the site, this indexing process can lock up our systems. If these sites would code up better spiders that behaved like a person, there wouldn't be a problem with them. Plus - I don't like how they are set up - they basically USE our music to pull people in, then they try to sell you ringtones - LAME.
So - once I got through identifying all this poor traffic, and filtered it out, our music stats settled down.

no problem
BTW - now streaming your music
the way this first piece starts off, it reminds me of Shine On You Crazy Diamond - must be the same chord being sustained. Nothing like long never ending chords

Hey, thank you very much By the way, I haven't updated my profile on Artist Server for a long time. Partly due to the fact, that I registered at so many websites that I don't always have time to upload new tracks on all of them
I have also released second album about 5 months ago (and soon gonna release the third), which you can listen and/or download here: http://www.archive.org/details/Stellardrone-InventTheUniverse
Pink Floyd is one of my favourite bands.
