POETRIG
It is track no. 1 from my recent album ocean of inexistence.

It consists of three sections a. (00:00) duality of singularity [06:19] b. (06:19) ode to the everdropping laughtears [05:34] c. (11:53) the drive to gradual arrogance [06:20]

I usually don't like this kind of thing but I can get into this. The attention to detail in your beat-based works is here in full effect, and I've a soft spot for long compositions that drift through distinct phases.
Have yet to listen whilst meditating, but it should be fun

Hey, man. Not sure why, but I missed this one.
But I got it now....
Anywho... this track is great. Terrific buildup through the whole thing. I really like the bits between 14:00 & 18:00. That section sounds (though I may be wrong) like you revisit samples from earlier in the piece and process/filter the hell out of 'em? Either way I like that section a lot
Lookin' forward to the complete album. Should be a good one for sure.

the titles are great. paradoxes, even emulated by your stereo panning in the first movement.
ode to the everdropping laughtears is my favorite segment. very nice indeed.
I wasn't so much into the drive to gradual arrogance (although it is my favorite title). it was a little busy (melodically) and didn't quite fit into my experience. but I do love how everything in that piece sucks together at 11:57. that was effective.
great narrative in your ambience.
hoorah!

Well, sometimes I do, but I must say I had the feeling there was something wrong with my speakers, especially because the rest os the first part sounded so relaxing...I thought it wasn't your intention to have these cracling noises..

OK, you're the producer, you decide to have these noises in or out...

I know Themis has a concept going here - with subsections within sections - the whole CD is set up this way (also has some great titles that I'm jealous of), but as with the CD, I hear it as one overall work. a sonic topography or better yet, a journey. and the the distances between the the more structured moments are just as interesting to me. islands of music in an ocean of sound.
like, these are the dreams & nightmares that Ulysses had in the years after he finally arrived home.

Well done Themis- I was going to say something a few days ago, but never remembered. I was only able to download up to 11 minutes and the first section has a lovely drone sing. Very relaxing and meditative in this hazed vision. The rain is so vivid, and when you cut out the rain noise with the drips in the aftermath... Very cool
Sounds like I'm missing out on the rest of it too- where the electric guitar comes in and starts jamming... I hate my damn internet company.

Kylo, thank you very much for writing about it finally! I am glad you enjoyed what you listened untill the 11th minute. After that, there's a more noisy part. Your connection drops? Hey, take the decision and go for broadband! It will cost you less and will give you more. You know that already. Go on man! Do this step! I put adsl @ 768 kbit/sec two weeks ago and I feel like I am resurected... or simply born.
We won't let you connect @ 56k anymore. Take that step!
Thanks again for writing here Kylo! Happy New Year man!
