playlist order error?

I made & new station playlist & set the song order but it doesn't play in order.
http://www.artistserver.com/stations/index.cfm/stid/263
it should play 12345..sometimes it played 31542, 3452 (skipping 1) , 2351 ( skipping 4) etc..
Is there something I've missed?

I just launched the playlist - tried each song - and all loaded - and in the correct order. I'll check the query that's generating it to make sure it's sorting by the SortOrder you set.
What mp3 player do you use? Are you sure you don't have a 'shuffle' feature on?
BTW - I'm enjoying your tunes  A great addition to the site!
As for the skipping of songs, the site was most likely unable to process the request or the request was longer than the timeout for your mp3 player, so it simply skipped the song.
I'm in the process of evaluating a solution which will allow for better streaming. While the site has no problem serving pages to people - it does have a limitation on how many streams can be served at once. The new solution, if my tests go well, should allow for a near endless number of simultaneous streams.
To help speed the steaming requests up, I've also completely rewritten the mp3 serving and tracking code, and will roll it out live in the next week. So far my tests show the response time on stream requests is much faster. Once this is in place, I'll return to working on scaling the mp3 serving.
I understand finding the issue frustrating, but please know that I'm working towards a solution and that I too find it frustrating. I see scaling the site as a number one priority, and have stopped work on most new developments (like adding video uploads!) until I arrive at a solution.

I was using Winamp, I tried it again today & it seems to work fine.
Could've been re-booting my puter again fixed a problem, I never use the shuffle option. Anyways it seems fixed now.
Glad to see you're up on things around here. This site really has alot of useful features; well thought out & designed.

thank you for the comments Carl - it's always refreshing to hear from new members and to find that they like the site and it's features.
There's a lot of history to this site - and I attribute a lot of it's evolution to the artists and members who provide feedback and ideas. It all started in 1999 with a frustration w/ the original mp3.com. I launched the site under the name ElectronicScene.com in 2001 - hosting only electronic music and finally changing to ArtistServer.com in 2005, along with opening up to all genres of music.
Whew... time is flying...
What's great, is that the people you see here on the forums... many of them have been around since the beginning.
