This thing would be perfect for doing Ennio Morricone's pocket watch theme from "For a Few Dollars More".
I'd love to do that as an intro to a set. Just hold it up to a mic and start playing it. When your ready just trigger your set with a footswitch. Then put it down and...

just bought one and it arrived a day or two ago. I haven't wrote anything for it yet but Happy Birthday sounds great!
I need to buy some screws to attach the box to a piece of wood for better resonance.
Well worth the $15.

And then attach a contact mic to that and run it through your mixer/FX/amp....

I'm one step ahead of you Tim- I ordered it about a week ago and I already got a wooden box from the hobby shop!

I eventually figured out though, that it only plays white keys going up a full step only each bar; so that really limits what you could do, but still... pretty darn cool so far.
It's also kind of a bitch to punch out the right notes unless you're really familiar with the treble cleff...
My advice: take your time, double check because you can only punch the hole once.
I already screwed up a whole slip. lol
