Almost makes me wanna get one.
Nah... Leanne would kill me if brought home anymore gear.
"What!?!... another synth!?!... how many of those damn things are you gonna buy!?!"

it's a fun synth - that's what I used to create "Arpegallegiance" that track I released earlier this year. Stream: Arpegallegiance BY: Sonic Wallpaper
Indeed it's a very expressive synth, and the sound engine is extremely flexible.

I remember that track. It's really good. So, you did that with the Prophecy, eh?
Hmmmm.....

Yup. Too much gear, too little space. A lady who lives near me is selling her DX7 for $200CDN.

Well believe it or not an FM synth is hot on my want to buy list!!!
I am thinking SY-77, TG-77 DX-200 or an FSR-1?

Gideon on your track:
Love the intro, beautiful arpeggiated sound that slowly transforms from a mellow, smooth analogue sound to a distorted decimated kind of sound.
Tension is growing but then it dies away but starts to swell again and the attack changes as does the openess of the filter.
I was waiting for a beat or a rythm of some sort but i realize this is a solo piece demonstrating the Prophecy, very nice around the 3 minute mark, ah......chorus??? Wow, nice changes, probably very cool to a film sequence this one, shows how less can be more and that minimalism can be a creative thing. Relaxing too and kind of hypnotic. Are you making all these parameter edits in realtime with the controllers? How many sounds do you have acces to in the synth, i.e. memory? Very nice melodic arpeggio dude, still miss something around midway? A slow, funky rock type drum beat would be really cool but that´s just my imagination expecting something to happen.

Pick up a TG33. They're going dirt cheap these days (like $50USD or less) and are fantastic synths. I have one and it's awesome. Not sure why peeps are dumping them, but I say they're crazy for it. But... they're loss is your gain.

And don't forget about the TX7 or the FB-01. I have a TX7 (keyboardless DX7). You can't program it from the front panel, but if you have editor you're all set. Both go for less than $20USD these days. At least they do around here. Champagne synthesis on a beer budget. Who could ask for more?

I used to own a Yamaha DX-27 and got some incredible sounds out of it.
Would love to own a prophecy though...
