A gabber to soundscape re-mix...

So I do this re-mix for a friend of mine (we've shared a stage a few times in the past) and I think it turned out well enough. And given what I'm prone to producing these days, at least stylistically, I was more or less left thinking when it came to his thoughts on it.
Either way I decided to upload it here and inflict it upon you unsuspecting lot in the hope somebody here might think it as good as I do.
It was done entirely in Reason 3.0 (recorded, mixed and mastered) using the supplied samples with credit were credit is due.
It's only 2:35mins, short by my standards, and of the usual creepy, spacey, trippy, overused delay/reverb, sound panning everywhere type nature.
So here 'tis:
Down With The Clown (Romantic Mix)
Enjoy...

Yeah... this piece, the way I have it setup in Reason, could easily be much longer. In fact, the way I'm using the proggy right now (totally freestyle) after about 30mins the session turns into this huge wall of noise with everything just mixing together like the ingredients in a blender. A dash of this, a dash of that, a tweak of this a tweak of that and... blammo... it goes from eno to merzbow...

So do you think the combinator is a worthwhile upgrade? I'm thinking about checking it out eventually...
I like what I hear, very vivid & sharp.

The "combinator" is amazing. It allows you to create these incredibly complex and wildly unique FX units/racks whatever you wanna call 'em within Reason that are mindblowing. Plus... the Scream 4 distortion unit, the new Reverb unit, the mastering suite among all the other things they added in Reason 3.0 makes this proggy a very powerful and sonically sound music making machine.
If you're running an older version of Reason, you're missing out on sooo much.
