Hello, Ludo and I have started a collaborative project called Background Radiation. It's indie electronic music with acoustic instruments mixed in. We're hoping that it combines our styles and feels fresh at the same time.
Anyway our first track is called Real Air To Use. At the moment you can only check it out here: http://www.myspace.com/bgradiation
We'd love to know what you think of it
cheers,
Tim

I know which one Ludo's voice was in there cause once you've listened to "and it was like the old times"... Yeah you get it...
I enjoyed! I felt it at time wanting to pull into a harder hip-hop beat, but maybe that was just me wanting "it" to. Both of your voices mixed are quite the mixture- it reminds me of some Peter Gabriel; But- I need not stress enough that I have only heard Shock the Monkey and that's all, so maybe once again; it'd be my own ears.

It seems as though your voice was a little softer than ludo's. Then it had the time when it would pop up front and take over for a couple words and back-- as if you were kind of shy.
I've only listened once though. It's very relaxing and the rhodes are a pleasing element that you two found.

I like the blend of voices on this one and I see where Kylo was coming from with the Peter Gabriel comment.
Right now I can't get the song to load - but I can get Full-Source's and Kylo's songs to play as soon I load their myspace page
Hope there is more to come!

Do you have to sign in to MySpam, I mean MySpace to be able to download?
Every time I've signed in there, I've been spammed with a bunch of unknown friend requests from people using bots that scrape the list of signed in members. Anyone ever notice this?
Can you guys upload it to AS? Feel free to create a new account
I'll give it a stream for now.

thanks for the suggestions and comments Kylo. the interchanging "in and out" vocals were more of a stylistic choice on my part.
It's not downloadable for anyone on Myspace. I'll be making an artistserver account today. I'll post the song up there and make it a free download. link to come later
Expect more tracks from us too. we're working on an ep (probably for a net label release).

Haha, Gideon's still whining about MySpace I see. Wasn't sure what I'd make of the track - haven't really been into any of the indie/electronica type in an absolute age, actually - but I'm very impressed. Production's perfect, track's really beautiful. Someone needs to buy Ludo a better microphone, but othewise top marks. Looking forward to more stuff!

hehe the mic is good.. unschooled kinda went bankrupt over it i guess.
as i was telling Tim.. i was lazy and feeling like the Old times, so i just recorded my vocals with the track playing LOUD (at the same time)
so there was heavy leaking (obviously) which i then filtered out.
that's why it sounds so crappy.
i knew you'd like it Ross, this one turned out really good, i mean a real blend, with initially a multi-panel melody, then turned into a F-S arrangment (or something) I mean Tim did a lot stuff which i would be too lazy to do myself. (like creating a great b-part)

STRANGE things.
like a horror movie. no replies!

anyway, Train Times For Sway, the much anticipated 2nd multi-panel album will never see the daylight i guess. it's kind of old anyway (i mean 2004) haha.
i wish Unschooled had put it out in may 2005 as they were planning to do.
