Hi Gideon..
Me and DoofDad were just discussing the good ol ES days , the tempo , the creativity , the vibe ...finishing tracks and uploading straight away ...all that stuff.
I loved it ...big part of my experience as a musician , and for that ...have much thanks mate!
Just dropping by the site got me all nostalgic and what to do with all that stuff ?
Well but of course ! Do it again !
I decided to make a track in one sitting and upload....
8 hours , A sickpack of Moosehead Lager , A bag of M&M´s (M&M´s resulting in a blue tongue which strangely enough was very appropriate for my next item) and a couple Smurfcigarettes later I had this on my hands.
The track LeftSide on my soundcloud page ....
Im now using the name IfThenRun.  and I make Leftro.
Leftro is the new style in town...  , well in my small town anyways ..or maybe just here in my immediate surroundings, or maybe just in my head.. yeah that.

And you know what , it don't sound halfbad now during my first "day after" listen..EDIT..Ok , it's slightly weird...The lack of judgement during the night , love it.
It might be working ...that ol, ES vibe. ...f***in love that... I might just do this all the time now like back in the day. Yep...run with it.

Now, here's a funny story ...I can say it here as no one else will believe me---- well, you probably won't either. 
I had a massive case of studio entropy, Raid drive crashed , then C drive ....after setting up the comp my mixer melted , got a spare , couldn't find the transformer...so ...Yeah , I have these old headphones...plug'em in - only the left speaker working! 
So ...I made this track with one headphone ...That's what I call determination!
And respect for my neighbours! So yes...apparently, I'm also a great person on top of all the other positive shit that can be said about me.
Yes it´s on Soundcloud which kinda kills the romance of my story but...Im working on setting up my new AS account. 
p.s It the track sucks , turn off your right speaker and you will hear it the way the artiste intended....Or not.
EDIT.. Scratch that ..listened on full takeoff throttle on my speaker.. It's insane.
I'll never mix with anything but my left headphone again....hehe

We had a Heckle & Jive night at our house in honor of hearing from you! The best part (other than just listening to all of those awesome tracks) was watching our son groove to your tunes. He REALLY liked them and danced in his high-chair the whole time we were feeding him dinner. So good to hear from you, and I know Gideon will have no problem zipping those up and sending them to you. They are too good not to have! 
BTW....you should stay up late more often, it works for you!

S.A. Fred recently became a dad too, and my son is nearing 1.5yrs now The old days were fun indeed. A lot of great music went though the site - so glad I downloaded so many!

I listened - not as dynamic as you've been with your music. Well mixed and layered - just not what I get into.

I haven't heard of it - I can add it as a genre on the site if you plan to sign up with the new artist name.

Man , I'm almost anxious to hear some of these tracks , it's old stuff by now.
I do feel that Squareparts is still pretty good, but most of the other stuff Im not sure about.
Fit....hehe...I remember that one and why I made it .... Haven't heard it in years.

Sometimes I wish we could pick up the vibe ,back to the old days.
But I guess... Was what it was , is what it is.
It's kinda fitting , I'm going through this reinvention of myself , coming here is very appropriate at this point in time for me, brings up thoughts and stuff . Mainly I miss the intensity of it all and in that spirit I have made the decision to work from that old vibe , work hard , upload and reflect. So.....The spirit of ES is alive and well ...still!
It apparently resulted in 27 songs , can't argue with that.
Yeah , im doing that .

One question , How is AS these days ....movement ? Downloads ? Visits? Future plans etc.
The board obviously isnt too active...so what´s up , give me the lowdown.

Yeah Leftside . Not sure what it is...? But it started as an experiment in pushing the groove until it almost does not groove anymore ? Does not sound like something one should strive for , I realize that ...I do weird stuff all the time , my music is no exception.
But again , I don´t judge , I only make this stuff....My new rule.
Leftro is not real , I made it up ...I thought coming up with a smart name for my genre would hide the fact that the track isn't great ...did it work ?
I will check out your stuff fer sure.

I tried to respond to the challenge yesterday, but finding time for making music other than playing/singing Ween songs on the guit for the little one is tough! she's much more cooperative when I'm giving her a little concert on the couch than when I'm staring at my laptop! I'll get something doofy uploaded here, but I think I'm going to have to spit things out in 15 minute sessions...which could be cool in itself...
it's funny, I was looking at one of these atrocious toys that someone gave us, which is supposed to "provide essential aural stimulation for your baby." in reality, it plays that really tacky, lo-fi version of mozart. so far, we have found that Autechre and Bogdan Raczynski on the hi-fi do a much better job of providing aural stimulation!
anyway, I'm trying to listen to your tracks Arnar but soundcloud isn't responding...I'll keep at it and get back in here!
