This sounds more polished and finished than most of your work.
Good sound quality. Nice changes. Interesting form and flow.
There's something that always bothers me with your music though. It's something to do with how forced everything sounds, not like overly sequenced, just tense.
Overall a good release, thanks for sharing.

lol - the start reminded me of Simply the Best by Tina Turner....
The rest seems to flow quite nicely - if a bit humourlessly. I like the vocal sample though - that seems to have opened it out a bit - got a Kraftwerk feel now.

Oh, Glad you liked it =) I could speculate about the deliberate pace you mention but.. that is the truth of it. Most of what I do is really forced.
There was a time when all the music & sounds & sequencing was new to me & ideas came more 'naturally' but at some point, i think around 2005, it became really difficult to do things that i hadn't done before.. or that didnt just bore me to death. However, the methods i used for stepping outside the box brought about a lot of convoluted messes & random noise.
As i heard someone on idmf say "Without production knowledge you're just random uncontrolled noise". So.. Yeah i think im at least starting to address this now Also interesting to note.. a lot of what i made prior to 2005 sounded.. ok. Aeon, for instance...

Were you noting the humor in the track or a lack thereof? Eh? Eh?

Pretty kew man. I dig the tunnel bass line- I'd try to tweak it up with some compression if you are able. Sometimes a hi-hat (or something designating the pace) prevents a rushed/forced feeling if you ask me'z.
And turn down the thermostat; it's overpowering the composition.

but.. it's so hot in here..

Thanks for listening
I was thinking i needed to do something to the bassline you mentioned.. in staying true to oldschool industrial it should be more of a percussion-instrument (like pianos or acoustic guitar.. yeaaa). Compression didn't cross my mind though.. hmmmmm

original post updated.. i worked on the song & changed around a few things slightly. Also did some processing on the instruments. Couldn't get the bassline to sound how i wanted with a compressor so i used a (vintage) warmer...

Sounds punchier. Those vocal samps are a weird element of this song due to the dialogue, but I dig em anyway.

..and now to this forum
You'd think some people didn't realize i put the dialogue in there purposely.. It was supposed to make you laugh
This is where it came from.. fast-forward to 0:27.. and at 1:26 or so the parakeet bitch slaps the dude before exploding:

This was the kind of music I used to be into bigtime. I've heard both versions and I like it, particularly the bassline, the movement of the pads, and somehow the vocal sample gives a cool angle to the overall effect.
I did think the pads *may* sound a little dry (emphasis on may), maybe that's what you were going for, but personally I'd be tempted to throw on some subtle reverb and/or chorus or a resonator or something. Just an idea.
I will teach you the significance of insignificance

Thanks for listening What is this DAF you speak of abc?
@sendy i used chorus to sit that lead into the mix in the newer version.. Just not too wet with the signal. People could listen & say "that's some nice chorus in your song "
