oh yeah! It's some of the best music I've heard in years. All the Shpongle albums are great, but the 1st 2 are the best. Evan/Bluetech turned me onto them back in 2001 when I heard him drop one of their tracks in a set.
Do you have anything by OTT yet? He's friends w/ Shpongle - also did an amazing remix album for Hallucinogen called "Hallucinogen in DUB" - which is near perfect (except the intro... which starts out trance then slows down into a dub track. The orig. tunes were Trance.
Here is 1 track:

Their sound has sampled Eastern ethnic instruments and Western contemporary synthesizer-based psychedelic music. Posford is responsible for the synth and studio work while Raja Ram contributes with flute arrangements. The project was formed in 1996 after the pair viewed a solar eclipse in India. The two went into the studio and attempted to duplicate the experience in sonic form, and the result was a 20-minute track, "...And the Day Turned to Night," which was featured on Shpongle's first album "Are You Shpongled?" and the Twisted label compilation Eclipse - A Journey Of Permanence & Impermanence.

Shpongle is by far my favorite artist. I agree with Gideon in that the first two albums are the best, but I've been listening to Nothing Lasts... nonstop lately. Maybe it's because now a lot of the tracks hold memories for me when they were played live that night. Mmmmmm...who knows.
What's funny about it is that when I lived in Fayetteville, AR, in 1999, I visited a record store and RANDOMLY (based upon cover art ALONE) bought Eclipse - A Journey of Permanence and Impermanance - a compilation featuring "...And the Day Turned to Night." So what, some downbeat chillout music, right? Two years pass, hearing the ENTIRE CD many times during them. Then, in 2001, while sitting in my truck with a friend, I put in that CD, simply because it hadn't been played in a while. "...And the Day Turned to Night" began. Him and I, over the next 5 minutes (and if you know the song you know that not much is happening in that time) proceeded to become extremely cannabisically inclined. We both just kind of chilled, and didn't speak to each other until the song was finished, which is what is required in order to fully appreciate what it is. End of story. Arguably life changing. Definitely a good song for meditation.
But why I love Shpongle can be easily summed up. WHO ELSE IS DOING THAT TO 7/4? HOLY SHITTINOOKINIZZLE, MAN. DAMN.
'Nuff said.
