I could use this to extract midi notes from wavs for use with vocoded vocals. Older versions can do this, just not very well.
The possibilities are endless actually.

Celemony Melodyne Studio Edition v3.0.1.5 does convert wav to midi, but with varied success.
I converted a simple monophonic wav to midi but it didn't accurately transfer notes, some were close, others right on but it was useless for my intended purpose of saving time.

I'll use wav to midi conversion for extracting old song sequences, then randomize them. It'll be like a midi generator, only more interesting.

Yeah, I think it's a great addition to an already great piece of software.
Although I think it's kinda strange this new feature is not implemented in the Studio-version first...
