The September Sun

Greetings fellow producers,

It is September again, my favorite month of the orbit.

How quiet it has been in the forums here this year. I wonder why.

I wonder how we might encourage greater community interaction,
or is it just a general trend in the evolution of independent artists?

Even I myself have not been as active here as in past years, where I
have been working this summer on relocating Synerdata.Net Radio back
to Victoria, which has delayed the debut of the summer harvest of new
releases at ArtistServer.com, which I hope to have on the air in the time
ahead.

I am wondering how Gideon is doing, where last we heard he was working on
a new version of the site, leading up to summer. I have noticed in working on
radio production that I have really slowed down with the lack of enthusiasm
that so many years of doing the work has reduced me to, and wonder if perhaps
Gideon also could use some inspiration from the community to continue the
good (but oft hard) unprofitable work of our mutual artist community services.

Anyways, I just thought I would speak up here tonight while I work on the artist
URL's for the latest releases to get Harvest Number 90 for Summer 2012 so belatedly
on the air in the course of my slacking off.

I think we could all use something new to shake us out of our lack of community
involvement and participatory interaction, but what?

I am looking for suggestions as to what we as a community can do to revive the
excitement and inspiration and sense of involvement which once permeated this
and other music sites. Don't be shy.

We are all in this together!

Cheers!
Gordon.

People have A LOT going on in their lives. The economy tanked and has only gotten worst.

I know personally things have only gotten worst for my family since 2009.

In a life of uncertainty, the way society behaves is ALWAYS base.

I really don't know why this forum is so dead. There's a lot of artists on here. I think their focus is just on hosting their music and never interacting. There's not much to be had on using the forums maybe.

I spend all my discussion time at IDMF forums. I mean it is just a forum to begin with. Some tech, software and production talk though it gets redundant. It's good for beginners if they search and post thoughtful questions.

They have a Net Label and have recently hosted contests and open compilations.

Very active listening board to share tracks. Things move pretty quick.

I don't know why things here are dead. Soundcloud is pretty big right now.

Ummm... what?

I just re-visited after possibly a few years... But it's good to see all the crew still involved anyway!

I was just sitting here, in February 2013, wondering, is it just me,
or am I actually getting tired of the internet?

Is that even possible?

My God! What is happening to us!?
