were they rubbing his belly or what?
anyway, that was a novel way to spend a minute or so.

I thought they acted pretty human too, which was the reason I posted this.
It looks like they were trying to preen him though, not rub his belly.

I googled "marsupial canine"

They both have close phylogeny and a Tasmanian devil seems to be a viable example of abundant similarities in genetic links and traits found in both species.
Must have something to do with the altruism.

I just watched a special about Tasmanian devils. They had a problem in 1995 with them getting cancerous tumors on their mouths due to inbreeding and their bodies inability to recognize other devils blood cells as an intruder. When they fight for food they bite each others mouths and infect one another. Kind of sad really.
