Lots of influences on this latest tune.
Here's what happens when you mix lots of listening to Mouse on Mars' "Vulvaland", an old song from a 1993 song demo project and dueling ebows.
Open

I actually ended up making this one shorter.
Enjoy!

i like what you do with the ebow. You know, that company went under and the only place to get an ebow is on ebay... that's kinda funny - Ebow on Ebay, no way!
i like the feel in this track - it has a sense of youth, curiosity and playfulness.

Thanks for listening. Ebows are great. I have done several tracks using an ebow on an acoustic. Very cool sound.

wow - that one made my day
Oh yeah I was also under the influence of a YouTube "How to play Rhythm guitar like Jimi" tutorial.

I like everything except the bass. This sounds like William Orbit.
If anything there is a bit too much in it. I think its more effective in the simpler sections. Cool though. Lovely sound-scapey stuff.

Thanks for the feedback Danny.
I thought about dropping the base and recording a bass guitar track, but that would have violated the P9fm trade mark sine wave bass tradition.
Simplification is my new mantra. I had already taken out tons of stuff on that track (poor kalimba track lying on the floor).

Yeah this is really nice. I think DK's right though, and I bet you could just add some beat-driven gating to drop out layers that were interfering with each other.

This song is nice, I love the opening pads, and the beats kinda fun. The feedback doubling the synth is cool as well. I'm not totally familiar with Mouse On Mars, if this inspired it, I'll have to check them out. I was hoping for a complete uptempo drop in, or like, a bigger beat to eventually drop in, and make it more of a rock inspired electro track, but I still liked it, moved at a really nice pace. Well done!
