I'm making one thread for any interesting synths I find. Post them if you find some too please.

Sorry I don't have YouBoob video to link to...
This is all over the interwebs (in case you're late getting to the party or haven't already seen this)
Fairlight CMI IIx library on SendSpace

What I am supposed to see exactly? All I see is another thread about the fairlight
This thread was to show what crazy synths out there sound like.

Sorry, but I was under the impression your thread was about interesting & cool synths. Had I known it was about crazy synths I wouldn't have posted the heads up about the fairlight samples.
The link I posted takes you directly to the section of the thread that gives you access to the complete Fairlight CMI IIx library. A very cool and interesting synth btw.
Oh, well.... better luck next time I guess....

i downloaded a few of the zips - some of the samples were good - but I also read the thread, where ppl there were stating these were very difficult to get loop points set. So using in a sampler for sustained/looped sounds won't work well - they're better for 1-off notes.
And for those who do not know how cool the Fairlight is/was - check out this video where Herbie Hancock jams with his Fairlight CMI in 1983 - also features Quincy Jones talking about synthesizers and grooving Herbie's vamp.
Fairlight part starts at 30 sec
and another featuring Peter Gabriel:

Yeah... the samples are definitely not acid friendly and certainly not up to plug and play, drop and bop standards, but I haven't had any problems with them. Maybe 'cause I use them as multi-samples inside Xphraze.

Anywho....

It's cool, I just thought the videos themselves were descriptive enough. Next time I'll be more specific with my thread titles.

...powered by three AAA cells, connection to the outside world is via a 3.5mm stereo jack socket. bC8 is 69mm in diameter. bC8 contains a stereo headphone amplifier connected to a 24bit / 48KHz digital to analog converter. A powerful DSP generates a VCO and LFO, also the DSP performs waveshape modulation and VCA functions as well controlling the patching of functions to each other and running a simple but powerful ‘one button’ pattern sequencer. bC8 is controlled by eight rotary knobs and one push-button. Four LED’s indicate battery status, LFO and EG level and other mode elements. bC8 pattern sequencer records the timing/duration of the button presses and all the knob settings for each action, these can be altered live for acid loops etc… The speed of playback maybe dynamically varied between 25% and 400% of normal.
----------------
As you can well imagine, this sort of synth is right up my alley. And as such mine has been ordered. Should have it in my hands by the end of May. Stay tuned for my own version of bC8 mayhem....
