Thought I'd give this a thread - after using the Jerky Oats Records name to promote my own music I've decided to strech out and put out a few other records. First up are two albums by Jack Anderton, whose latest album The Moment I will be coming out through the label later in the year.

Jack has self-released a number of records in the past five years, and between us we've come up with two albums of the best work from this period. Archive I - Ambient Acoustic contains 11 works of tender acoustic guitar, soft choral vocals and light synths. It's lo-fi in a tender, vulnerable and charming way.

Archive II is a strong ambient electronic collection. Tracks such as Tomb Under The Moon, Trust and Too Early display a pop sensibility, based around melodic hooks, while there are more experimental efforts on show with Funicular, a that manages to cram in elements of musique concrete, shoegaze and minimal techno all in the same track, and Flair, with its acoustic backing and layered washes of synth sparking in the background.

The two albums carefully chart Jack's past music and provide a context to hear his latest - and strongest - work The Moment, released in the next couple of months.

Both albums are available for free download through Jerky Oats Records:
