Believe me... you won't think that after watching this train wreck.

That was kinda hard to watch, I love New Order, but he should not have started singing that high.

All I could think of while watching that video (as painful as that was) was for god's sake Bernard put some pants on.

A good article on the making of 'Blue Monday':

Personally, I'm a far bigger Joy Division fan than a New Order fan, though New Order did manage to get us to shake our booties quite frequently during the 80s.

Quote:New Order originally used an Emulator II to play their samples live, but a lot of the time the Emulators wouldn't load up so the roadie would have to hit one of the legs with a hammer to start it working again — it was that kind of technology!
that's awesome. a long time ago, the Cryptic Corporation was auctioning off an Emulator I (or was it a II?) used by The Residents for a handful of early 80s records. we had it in the Ralph America office for a month or so...a big blue beast, with a box of floppies labeled with song names. there was no way I could afford to buy that thing, of course the price was high because it was the one used on those classic Residents recordings and it was the 6th one off the line I believe (according to the serial number)...I just can't believe I never played around with it while it was there. That was very early in my electronic instruments interest though.
