I finally wrote and recorded a track in a day!!! I usually take a month to finish one track, so this is an event. Anyways, it's called the first move. http://doubleplusgood.biz/music/First%20Move.mp3
I was trying to think of how a Yo La Tengo track would sound if it was all made on synths, and came out with something that sounds nothing like that. But I still like the finished product. I think it's funny when the inspiration sounds nothing like the plan you had in mind. Anyways, it's called First Move. Enjoy

This is actually quite good. It has a genuine 80's sensibility and feel to it which really appeals to me.

I can tell you had fun with this one. Especially the whole climax towards the end there, with all the voices - that was nice.

Thanks for the listen, yeah Doof, this was a really fun track to make. Especially once I made the squeaky melody synth, i knew it would be a good itme. Thanks for the listen.

Groovey man.
You're lower voice in the chorus stands out a little too much it seems though in certain areas. Kinda that monotone sound again, but no worries- this was cool.

Yes 80's feel this time, and as usual you play "happy" mood which I feel always works with your type of voice. Enjoy how the sine goes a bit out of place and that tiny touch of portamento on your solo parts... Very nice arpeggioish chords as well... great!

Ok, now I didn't enjoy this as much as A Note So High. It sounds quite repetitive to me. A Note So High is touching me more heh.
Cheers anyway Erik! I always like your style, no matter I don't like a piece or two... but I think it is only this that I don't like like all the other ones.
