I'm really pleased with the texture on this. Very laidback, floaty and jazzy. Thing is my computer exploded a while ago and when I got it fixed there was only so much I could do to finish the song. You know how it is.

I'm feeling pretty choked by my whole setup to tell you the truth. Not to mention a bit ga-ga from lack of decent interaction with other musicians. But what can you do? Sad songs just ain't sellin' this year Cool

Answers on a postcard.. would.. be a waste. Unless you posted them to me. In which case I'd wonder how the hell you got my address.

I like it. Smile

lots of fun moments in the first half that had me a little giddy. it's great Cool, right on.

Thanks! I like the first half best as well. Pity I couldn't develop it more.

jazzy, funky, both strut & sway. the perc nearly got over the top for me in the second half (but thats prob just me) - I did like the way you tightened some of the hits up so that it had the character of a door creaking. dug it. Cool, right on.

Ah, you have so nicely advanced your sound Alex. I like the dark nature of this piece. That weirdo synth riff that enters at 01:15 is so cool... so weird but cool. I also like the empty drum section but I'd rather if you did not continue with the drill after the breakdown. You knew what to do here, ok.

Good good! Cool, right on. Cool, right on.

Thank you both!

I can see how some might find the drums over the top at the end, but that's about the only compositional option I could sense after the computer blew up and I was left with the rendered tracks. And secretly I quite like how I got the texture of the amens Smile

Ooh, tasteful... Monosynth bassline- nice touch... I think it'd be cool if you find something to hold onto eventually; and what I mean by that- is take anything out of this tune and repeat the segment like 2 or 4 times. That way people can catch up- no worries though, I get that it's fun to go crazy nuts on pitch bending and reverb modulation etc... Reason I bring up to slow the transitions are that you start out with a bumpin' groove kinda... Of course I appeal to my own audience-

I'm talkin' put down a hard bassline; like you did with your Mithrax remix, and throw down your rudiments a little more elongated Sendy!

So I guess what I'm saying is that I'm slower than you. ;) Don't change.

Very great work- I enjoyed all the piano and synth layers. I take it all back, this is very cool the way it is, otherwise it wouldn't be Absurd L. right?

Have a good holiday alexandra!

I know what you mean Smile

I guess I like that effect of the music almost moving forwards faster than you can think. It sort of creates a drug-like or dream-like surreality which I cherish. I do think I should experiment with more laid-back arrangements though, so I may look into that.

I'll just have to provide the absurdity with another source.

crunchy jazz snare whatever intro. different! Smile
don't particularly like the acid bass, but i like the weird eastern synth thing and i also like the manipulation of the drums here. (around 2.00)
the second half has this amen break speedy stuff, which i feel is quite cliche, but it still works! Twisted Evil
