Here are a couple of tracks that didn't make our quadrant "album". Not that they're bad, they just didn't fit the final flow. Thought someone other than us might like to hear them.

Wow, both of those were very atmospheric like your others, I enjoyed the slow chord changes in Cloud. I liked it better too because it sounds uplifting; enlightened. I like how you slowly envelope at the end, gives a great feeling.
Terminal seems to have the similar property, where is slowly grows like cloud. Perhaps this is something to do with the series of tunes in Quadrant? Very spooky too.

Thanks Kylo - yep it's all a bit dark. We agreed at the beginning not to have any percussion. Actually Pete wanted to put some light drums in one of them but I managed to slap him back into line.

I'm familiar with Cloud but Terminal is a new production? As all the 19 other Quadrant's I have this one is also excellent. These should be released - they top most ambient releases I've heard so, why not?

Cloud is quite beautiful - I particularly like the full rounded organ-like tones in the mid-range and bottom end. the way they wash over you, recede and surge forward again put me in mind of watching waves at the coast.
Terminal didn't strike me so much as dark, but more like forboding. love the change at 2:25 but I was hooked by the whole abstracted cyber character of the piece & dl'd it. if it was here I'd slip it into the Waking playlist. nice one.
and thx for no drums. nothing against drums, but both of these tracks are fine as is imho.

Fourier, These tracks are so beautiful. I love when you do ambient, the textures are so lush. Remind me a lot of the atmospheres the Orb did. Nice job. I do prefer the beats though (but I'm just more beat oriented I suppose). Cheer! -Erik

Thanks all for listening!
Frode - yes now I think about it, maybe we did post "cloud" here before? "terminal" is old too.
Hey Pete! I got your mail just before walking out the door to get the plane back home for Christmas, and figured I'd reply when I got to Swansea. Then realized of course that I don't have your address stored on my Dad's computer in Swansea. But then you already know that I am a complete idiot. I guess I will PM you.

Glenn, Peter Both pieces are magnificent in their way. Cloud breaks me. Such a touching soundscape. Terminal is more dark and brooding and droney, more experimental. Words are very poor to describe my feelings. Truly wonderful pieces!

Yes I think I got it from way back when you posted a lot of them on the old board.. The date says march, april 2003 sometime. They have been thoroughly saved and put in the bank velvet too, for obvious reasons.
My favs are Hope, Static and Cloud but they're all gorgeous in every aspect of the word..

actually S.A. Fred - the email address you have setup with your account must be wrong. If someone emails you from Artistserver - it fails. Sign in to the the site, then click on "My Account" then "profile" and check your email address there.
