My computer got a trojan virus last night... and the damn thing is frozen.
It's all nothing but a big old market for f-ing spyware to get you to buy their stupid software.
bastards...
I've already tried everything and it looks like I absolutely HAVE to buy this stupid rediculous anti-spyware software since my system keeps pulling up the same website through different methods.
RAT BASSTARDS!!
On top of that, I've got a damn cold-- A REAL virus... holy hell guys.
I think I'll make it.

We're snow'd in here. Will have to dig our way out in the morning. Seriously... snow's blocking the front door right now. It's been snowing like mad crazy.
Get well, my friend.... and get that durn puter fixed!!!

You didn't use any antivirus-software at all?

What is this virus doing exactly? Have you tried using something free like adaware?
You might not have to buy new software to remove it.

Ah yes, much better. Fully defragmented and protected by Norton 360- took a few days to locate the damn thing which spread into 171 applications.
171 isn't something I could find without my room mate Alfred doing all the work for me. The guy worked 4 days straight on it!! Of course I watched here and there, but I now know that the only thing you can do when your system slows dramatically is to just go out and get the CD; then defragment... defragment... defragment...
And yeah Subs, I actually did try Adaware earlier but it ended up not letting me go as far as to "delete" or "fix" the problems. All it could do was locate them for me, which well- was kind of lame at the time. Then I tried Spybot, then Windows virus removal, Spydoctor, etc... my list is lengthy until I gave up and finally borrowed an extra version from my room mate.
He insisted that he wanted to fix it because he likes this kind of stuff he says.
I owe him one! So the system isn't going as fast as it used to, but at least I've got much better protection!
As for this real biological virus-- I've been attacking it with 5 caplets of vitamin C a day and DAYQUIL- multi-system relief with RIIIICOLAAAA and I was able to run to work last night!
Feel better my friend!

Norton... ug
I spent $90 bucks on norton internet security suite 2007 last year and uninstalled it after a week of unbearably slow performance.
Anyway, glad to see you're back and feeling better.

Yeah, it is much slower I know what you're talking about Subs. Everytime I start up it takes a good 10 minutes to fully bring up my desktop ready to go.
PCs always make that annoying little processing sound too... It goes on and on and on and finally calms down when you've had it on for a while.
cheers guys.

A firewall, regular dumping of the browsing history (especially those dirty, filthy cookies), scanning of all "in-coming" messages, regular backups and an up-to-date virus database (I use AVG free addition) have served me well over the years.
Do deligence on the part of the individual user is key to a healthy puter system.
But that's just me. Your mileage will vary....
It's good to hear you're back in action Kylo.

Glad to hear that you and your computer are both back amongst the living!
Wish I could send you some soup, but it sounds like you know how to take care of yourself.
