Hey Guys Kind of getting out of a short bout of writers block. This song had an original version which kind of sucked, and sounded like a bside timbaland track... Anyways. Its in demo-ish form, almost everything is done, except I do plan to try and record real strings with it. Anyways, feedback is always appreciated. -Erik

wow - that's some track. It's not something I can listen to frequently, but I really like what you've done.

Thanks Gideon and Subtronik Yea, the vocal effect is a little over the top, i'm re recording the vox and toning down the "cher"ness of it (thats unfortunately its most frequent comparison among my friends. Thanks for listening guys! -Erik

Yeah, way too much vocal tweaking for me. Near the beginning; not sure if you're purposefully trying to hit microtones inbetween keys... but it just doesn't mesh. It's more of a 'mash' sound. (Okay, I didn't have to say that right?)
No, seriously I feel like in order for this one to do better for the average joe listener it has to not be so squirly.
But the sound production on the other hand is amazing and very original~
I can understand that when you work a long time on something; like the vocal tweaking in this- finding the right frequency of experimenting is tough.
Allz I gotta say, is just take a lot of that away.
Great sounds!

I agree...I think this song would be a lot better without the vocal tweaking...it tends to get on my nerves...

i know this is a demo, but just like to point out that if it's supposed to be a real POP track (Cher-style), than at this stage it felt too muddy (especially the vox, maybe it's the tweaks as the others said) it needs to be crystal clear. (which is hard to achieve i guess)

thanks guys for commenting. So yea, the retweeking will begin!!! I'm keeping the part towards the end when the abstract rave inspired beat comes in, because I think by then its a pretty good restating of the chorus and its a good time for the effect to go berzerk, but it seems universal that people would like to understand lyrics who'd have thought
Anyways, thanks SOOO much for the feedback. I can't wait for the EP to drop -Erik
