The first thing I ever did with a synth was in 1973 or so. That was a homebuilt thing (of somebody else's) with a keyboard swiped from a chord organ and featuring contacts of bent paper clips. When you hit more than one note, the synth would play a note that was the sum of the frequencies of the keys you hit.

Or at least usually.

So it had sort of a bagpipe-y feel to it.

Anyway, this new track hearkens back to that whole experience, but now with a modern synth and intentional special effects.

Also, it uses a concept I've been messing with: Routing multiple loops of note information into a monophonic voice. This track uses 7 sequences into 2 voices. I sat there as the loop played on the XL-7, playing with the muting.
