I'm not sure that anyone has done this before. I'm going to make a free anime with the help of anyone who wants to help. An "open-source anime" so to speak. The closest thing to this idea, that I was able to find, is an anime being developed with open-source software. I'll direct my own version, but anyone who wants to create a spin-off is welcome to.
Why free? Well, the setting for this anime is going to be in the future, within a social system that no longer uses money (anyone seen "Zeitgeist: Moving Forward"?). I thought it'd be kinda hypocritical to charge for it, and I'd like to just get the idea out there.
Btw, I'm going to be needing music for this project eventually ;)
