New Song Buttons and New Features

 new song buttons are in place!
and with the new buttons, come new features! 
 the link button - click it and you'll see a link to the song page, hifi stream link and download display below the button, click it again to make them go away
 Tell a friend (envelope) button - click on this, and you'll be able to send a link to the song to your friends - enter up to 5 addresses, comma separated
we also have a new layout for the main music page - http://www.artistserver.com/music.cfm
this was based on the layout of the new photo section.
the tabbed search box which is at the top of some of the main pages is now smaller.

There's a few places the new song layout isn't being used yet, I think it's just the reviews and the individual song.cfm pages. These locations are not using the main song output object, so they'll require some recoding before I can use the new layout.
If you see any problems or bugs, post here here send me a msg.

unrelated question - I posted some photos and only afterwards did I notice that I could have photo 'sets'. can I put them in sets at this point, or do I need to start from scratch?

I'd have to work something out that was CSS based, as there are portions of the site that are 'published' on a scheduled basis - mainly charts. Right now they display the proper color schemes due to CSS.
Are you talking about both 'states' of the button - the off and on states, or just the color it changes to when you mouseover or click on them?

yes, at any time - and there's 2 ways to go at it.
1. from the perspective of the photo - where you are in MyAccount, in the photos area, viewing the listing of your photos, you'll see "photo sets" and an ADD button next to your photo. click on this, and you'll be able to add the photo to a set by selecting the checkbox next to the set(s) you wish to add it to. then click on add/submit
2. from the perspective of the set - where you are in MyAccount, in the photos area, and have clicked on "view" next to Photo Sets. In the listing of your photo sets, you'll see a button for "Add Photos" - clicking on this gives you an interface to all your photos where you can click on an Add button to add them.
But... you probably don't have a set created yet, right? So - first create your set - which is in the photos area of My Account - you'll see in the sub-menu, Photo Sets: Add - click on the Add buttom, then add your set. Once you are done, use one of the methods explained above to add photos. I like #2, it's much better when you have more than 1 photo you want to add.
Sorry I don't have the directions written up in the photos area. I'm thinking some demo videos would be more helpful though - not too many people will read diections, but maybe those people would watch a demo video.

thx on the photo sts - sounds easy enough - will get to it.
as far as the buttons - I thinking about their default color as they originally appear on the page - mouseover could be anything

I won't get too carried away here since it's the wrong thread, but the photo gallery is awesome. I mean, I'm here for the music. pretty much period. but the pics are cool. we've got friends & fam spread over the whole planet & now they can just check in there for a visual Badger Sett fix. very cool THX

glad you like it
there's more to come too - you'll be able to watch slideshows of images, add them to favorites and subscribe to a persons photos using RSS.
I changed the buttons today - I dropped the opacity down. They now blend with the site skins and people's sites better.
