Just Happy To Be Alive...

Long story short, me and my wife were driving from Florida to Texas to visit her family this Christmas. We made it to Jennings Louisianan.
She was doing 80 mph and got cut off on a wet road. She lost control and hydroplaned into a bridge crumble barrier. We hit and flipped the car twice.
I've never been so scared in my entire life, and considering I was sleeping at the time and was woken only by her screaming it was worst then the worst nightmare I've ever had.
I recovered fairly quickly, checking her first, then getting out of the car to check myself.
We came out of it without a scratch. It would of certainly been a different story if we hadn't of been wearing out seat belts. Five cars stopped and ran to the scene. Everyone's mouths dropped when they saw me getting out unscathed.

Thank goodness the pups weren't in the car!

Car accidents are so scary! For anyone who has not totalled a car in an accident, you just don't understand what it is like. I don't think you ever really get over it.
I'm so glad you had such a safe car! And like Gideon said, I'm so glad the pups weren't with you. It's also nice to hear that so many cars stopped to help you. What about the car that cut Layla off? Were they aware of the damage they caused? Did you get their plate number or information?
Give Layla a big hug for me. We are so glad you are both ok.
