Crop Circles.....

Month or so ago I saw a strange flashing light (not the usual airplane type flashing light) in the night sky between Shakespeare and Amulree (approx 10:20pm) on my way to work. It hovered, then disappeared, then reappeared in another spot in the sky, hovered, then literally zipped up into the clouds and disappeared from sight.
I was all like...
It really made the hair on the back of my neck tingle. Then... Just got this sent to me by a listing I subscribe to....
Quote:October 8, 2007 CROP CIRCLE FORMATION REPORTS - SHAKESPEARE AND LONDESBOROUGH, ONTARIO Two more formations found on October 1 near Shakespeare and Londesborough in southern Ontario. An oval and half-circle (Shakespeare) and a single circle (Londesborough), both in corn. Both formations a few weeks old. Primarily random lay with most stalks bent, broken or snapped off a foot or more above the ground. Ruptured or split nodes on upper portions of some stalks, including still-standing ones. Three dead and decayed racoons on edge of Londesborough circle. More information and photos: http://www.cccrn.ca/shakespeare2007.htmlhttp://www.cccrn.ca/londesborough2007.htmlStill under investigation by CCCRN Ontario, further details pending...

That's close, man... real close.....

hmm... so there's an intergalactic battle between aliens and racoons!
(for those who didn't click through... one circle also produced 3 dead racoons)
Very cool that you saw the light.
I try not to believe in things I haven't witnessed or feel 100% about, but I also don't dismiss things - I'm open to the idea - I just haven't felt a reason to make a judgement.
When I think about crop circles - one funny idea pops up that explains them, which is... 'we are seeing planetary graffiti.' Just as inner city people 'tag' signs and walls, our galactic neighbors feel the need to 'tag' Earth.

Johnny came across this bit and shared it wit me:
Quote:odd phenomena associated with the circles. In June 1990, six observers at Wansdyke, near Silbury Hill in Wiltshire, heard a high pitched trilling and saw 'black rods jumping up and down' among the wheat; next day there were crop circles. A radio ham in Devon had his listening spoilt in June 1991 by a series of high-pitched blips and clicks; the next day, a 70ft circle was found nearby. Astronomer, Gerald Hawkins was so fascinated by Colin Andrews' book that he began to study the precise measurements of all the circles in it. He soon noticed that these circles - often with patterns inside them - had been constructed very precisely according to the geometry of Euclid, the Greek mathematician who lived around 300BC and compiled what was the standard text on geometry until the 19th century. So if the 'circle makers' were hoaxers, they must also be first-class geometers too. Then Hawkins noticed something even odder - that a large number of the circles also had complex musical ratios, rather like the simple fractional relationship that exists between the pitch of different notes on a keyboard.
Though Johnny says "Those 'black rods' jumping up and down could be skinny Goth kids"

Hi John!!
Yeah... a farmer that lives nearby says the coyotes in the area (and there are lots) were unusally loud, howling and barking, around the time the circles would have been created.
Hmmmm... animals are definitely more sensitive to this kind of stuff than we I guess.

Anybody have a strong opinion one way or the other? That is,
Viewpoint A wrote:"Yeah man, I'm totally waiting for conclusive proof of aliens. Have you read those secret government files on that guy's website??"
versus
Viewpoint B wrote:"Don't be ridiculous. It's just the government testing out new wartime equipment. Secret planes and all of that."
And while we're on the topic of extra-terrestrial life, check out this site about intra-terrestrial life.
