Well it sure isn't very Spring like here this morning.
It's -20°C right now with the wind-chill it feels more like -31°C.
Holy crap that's cold!! 
Blowing snow (with more on the way) is causing chaos on the roads right now. It took my over an hour to make the 50km trip home this morning. Blowing snow and whiteouts are the biggest problem.
Hey, maybe they'll close the highway tonight and I won't be able to get to work.

We always get fake spring in Oregon, it happens for like two weeks of absolute gorgeous shorts and tshirt weather, and then rains until june  But maybe the groundhog's prediction includes less rain, I don't know, but I can only hope.

Ugh... by this point I've about had it with ol' man winter. You need nerves of steal to wanna drive in this part of the province. South-Central Ontario gets nailed this time of year with high winds, low temps and blowing snow. Around here it's not so much about accumulation as it is about what the wind is doing with it. And with the wind you get... icy roads (hockey anyone?) blinding snow. Slush that'll pull ya right off the road. And traffic. Man, oh man. There are way too many Ontario drivers that do NOT know how to drive. And have no clue what common courtesy means. "Hey, man... we're all fightin' mother nature here so take it easy will ya?... ya crazy &^%$#@"
But I've never had a crash or a wipe out of any kind in all my years of winter driving. I may be a little overcautious sometimes, but hey... easy does it, right?
btw...
I couldn't go to work Thursday last week. All the roads in Perth County were closed due to icy conditions. Snow day... woowoo!! I'll lose a days vacation, though. That's the pisser.

Impressive driving record.
I hope to be the same- haven't done a no-no yet either... cept I've only been driving for 6 years... I used to ride a bicycle everywhere. I think I actually preferred that over a car, except the time issue.
You'd be surprised though; about a half hour of cruisin in a car on a highway can be covered by a cyclist in about 50 minutes.
I can't wait til spring either, I'm due to go on a bicycle ride on the beach with kelp after kelp tied to the back. Hey that's fun- it's a challenge and people may wonder what you're up to, but it's all about trend setting.
