Hey gang,
Just thought you might like to know that I am making an appearance at the London Film Festival. I recorded and produced the soundtrack for a short animation called Tongue of the Hidden where the characters and environment are created entirely from the letters and the written words of the 13th century Persian metaphysical poet Hafez.

If you can't make it to that then it will be shown on Channel 4 sometime towards Christmas and, failing that, will probably make it onto Youtube sometime next year.
Some of you may remember I posted the Iranian music up last year - this is the film it appears in. It took a whole year and a bit to bring together just 5 minutes of animation!!
See ya there?!?!
D.

Thanks. I've also somehow become the publisher of these tunes (a set of 4) so new avenues to explore there too.
Its interesting you mention Hollywood. Someone I know recently had their dreams realised by doing a Hollywood film score. The process however was not enjoyable and became deeply demoralising with a whole host of unwanted input from producers going for the "lowest common denominator" approach.
Do you think it would be fair to say that standards in Hollywood film scores had dropped somewhat in the past ten years? I suppose Thomas Newman might be the exception to a rule like this but I find it hard to name film scores I have really enjoyed recently.
Also - just to clarify - I didn't write any of the music in this film - just recorded and produced it.
