Spreading Cheer?

Anyone interested in spreading a little more cheer around our community? Each year we try to pick someone from the site and send them a holiday 'care package'. However, this year, finances being what they are, we will not be able to do that. However, it occured to me that it would be nice to send out some holiday cards to more folks than we have in the past.
So...if any of you are interested in exchanging cards, either with us (Gideon and Lou) or others on the site, please share your addresses. If you want to make it public, just add it to this thread, or it you would prefer to keep it private, please send it to me in a pm. Some of you already know how much I love to send cards...so now would be a perfect time to add a few more addresses to my list.
Money may be tight, but cards are a nice and affordable way to keep in touch and add some cheer this time of year. Let me know if you're interested!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Sorry, I'm totally broke.
I'm tempted to try to find whoever at Microsoft buys entire systems for the people in the TV ads. (Their message: Our software is OK, if we buy it for you?) I'd ask 'em to buy me a laptop with Ableton Live Suite on it. I'm a total sucker for those modeling synths.
What's in it for them: I've been an Apple owner since 1987 and my IIc. (I wouldn't stop using Macs and Linux for other stuff; but I'd use the laptop to play live.)

Yep....totally understand....I think most of us are totally broke this year. However, if you change your mind and would like to receive a card from us, just drop me a line and give me your address. I truly love to send out cards, especially at the holidays, and would like to update my address book with more of our friends from AS.
BTW: Kylo and Themis, if you read this, you've both moved and I need your new addresses, if you don't mind.

My dad used to have a old apple and I played the floppy games like Dark Castle and Brickles... Then it would freeze. My father loved that since all his work info was at risk.
Yes, and being broke is always hard during christmas. I'm a couple hundred shy of that boat myself; so christmas cards and creativity! haha....
Katie & I are trying to get our automobiles fixed at a mechanic and I've been having to basically learn how to repair EVERYTHING that goes wrong to save a smidgen (or a lot) and man is it ever getting to be tolling on my time.
We almost crashed into the back of an SUV on the golden gate bridge today because I never had enough time to bleed the brakes because working in cold rain SUCKS!
heh. Then my toyota's clutch is almost completely gone...

Sorry to hear about everyone's money woes. Guess I'll throw in one of ours for good measure: just lost tree number three in our back yard due to the latest storm. I feel like our yard is rebelling against us for not spending more time out there now that we have Gid. Have to wait until after the holidays to have a team come out and chop it down. The biggest one is over 50 years old.
On a high note, thanks Kylo, for sending me your new address. I have a really cool (I think!) card to send out to you this year. Like you said "Cards and creativity!" Amen to that!

yes we are a bit baby crazy... but you have to do it to survive
We're having a great time with him. He seems to be on the verge of saying 'dad' - we can hear him saying "da da da" but that could simply be... da da da
He's nearing the age where he should be crawling, so we've been spending more time with him on the rug.
I'll have to post some new photos - I have them up on facebook, but I don't think you have an account there - or do you Sub?

Got your card yesterday, Sub, and man...was that funny! Thanks for the laugh, the card got a 'place of honor' in our house. Too bad the dog didn't look more like one of your chihuahuas.
Thanks to everyone that got addresses to me via pm, the cards are on their way! Enjoy!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Ah, not only am I too late for this but I'm also as skint as I've ever been - bad times all round it seems. I truly hope everyone's having a lovely time, though. Must be exciting to have a baby around Christmas, although I bet you're looking forward to Christmasses to come when the real excitement for Santa and presents comes!
Merry Christmas to everyone, anyway.

So glad you got the jam and treats, Sub! This year we decided to try something a little different and made the strawberry/peach combo. Why we haven't done that before, I have no idea, because we loved it! I thought it tasted like a 'sunset'! And of course we could not forget the little ones, because that is what Christmas is all about!
Kylo, can't wait to see what you sent Gid!!!! Wheeeee!!!!! Even though we are beyond broke this year we are still having the time of our lives enjoying this holiday through the eyes of our child. Just to see the wonder in his face when he looks at the tree lights fills me with love and cheer. Our gifts are small, simple and home-made, but I think thats great!
Second Thought, I'm so sorry to hear that things are bad with you, too. Things have been hard for awhile, but it always seems harder to handle during the holidays. Sounds like you have the spirit of Christmas in your heart, though, and thank you for acknowledging how magical this holiday is for us this year. And yes, it will only get better once he is old enough to know what is going on and actually rip into some of the gifts.
Happy holidays everyone!
