This is probably the first thing I've seen that makes me want to buy a Mac. I already have a Wii.
http://theamazingrolo.blogspot.com/2007/03/wii-loop-machine.html
watch the video, it is about 10 minutes, well worth it.
If you:
1. Have a Mac 2. Have a Wii 3. Make music
Download this, you won't be sorry.
I'm so freekin' dying to get this on the PC..... ibrow
PS, here is another one I found, looks promising, now only if the thing worked with two wii-motes and played a virtual drum kit on the screen. Ooooh what fun! http://www.engadget.com/2006/12/07/the-wiimote-drum-machine/

I smell a patent.
I'm sure he needs to enable the four player for a quartet wii remote band. That's what I'm thinkin bout!
hmm... I'm totally seeing revenge of the nerds concert coming back into my head.
Great movie.

But if he hooks up four people to that project, lookout! What a great new way to start off "rocklatronica" or some new form of music performance...
Yeah, this guy is opening up a way to actually perform electronica in an open scene without a bunch of crap in front of you!! Talk about pioneering- I'm impressed.

Brilliant!! Watched the whole thing and was mesmerized, not only was the sound pretty well recorded, the video educational also the loops were superbly groovy.
Yeah imagine a band like Zappa & the Mothers of Invention each having one of these!?
It boggles the mind to think of the possibilities, of course it demands that everyone have access to their own set of samples to play with, which limits this to computer use only right? No midi controlling i assume? How much does the controller cost?

So it works with midi eh?? $40 is cheap! Seems a bit complicated setting it up though? Anyone tried one?
Have been contemplating a mini kaoss pad, seem to be good fun, very portable & fairly cheap.
Thanks for the info

pfft!
Come on Brillman - you rock. You'll get it up and running in less than an hour.
BTW - the idea of controlling your music via movements that are captured by some means and converted into midi data is well over a decade old. Check out the 'i-cubeX' line of midi controllers and products: http://infusionsystems.com/catalog/index.php. You'll see that you can design and build a full body suit covered with various types of midi controllers which track different types of movements and actions.
They have a page on their site full of links about controlling sound, etc with midi and various controllers. http://infusionsystems.com/catalog/info_pages.php?pages_id=115
and just to show you there's a wide range of sensors for you to convert almost anything into midi data, they have a set of demo videos: http://infusionsystems.com/catalog/info_pages.php?pages_id=137
Get one of these systems... and you might just forget to eat and sleep.
